AGE REQUIREMENTS
Activate is targeted at students in high school, however we will allow youth leaders to bring the students turning 12 this year up to age 18.
LEADERS/CHAPERONES
Youth leaders should be at least 19 years of age, and groups should aim to have at least 1 leader per 7 students.
CHECK-IN
Registration check in will be in the Braeside Office (at the front of the property) on Thursday, August 21 from 6:00 - 7:30pm. We will be unable to check anyone in any earlier.
CHECK-OUT
Activate will end on Sunday, August 24th 12:30 pm. Groups staying at Braeside will have to check out by 1:30 pm, and will be given specific check-out instructions.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
All groups will be required to submit a credit card number for their security deposit of $150 per group. This deposit is required from every registered group (whether or not they are renting accommodations). The security deposit safeguards against damage done to the camp property, and the actions of the group. Your credit card will not be charged until after the event, if required. You will be notified before your card is charged, and it will be at the discretion of The Student Collective and Braeside Camp. (Form available on the Register page).
SECURITY AND SAFETY
Groups will be expected to abide by the Expectations and Guidelines they will receive at registration check-in (it will also be sent in advance to registered groups). Any group that does not abide by these expectations will risk forfeiting their deposit. Vandalism, theft, assault/threat of assault, drug use, and possession of alcohol will be handled by police. The Student Collective and Braeside Camp are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
DRESS CODE
Modest clothing must be worn at all times for guys and girls. Activate staff will reserve the right to ask students and leaders to change their clothes if they do not adhere to this.
Examples:
It is preferred that girls wear a one-piece bathing suit. Any two-piece bathing suits must be covered by a long t-shirt or tank top (that is not see-through).
No short shorts or short skirts
No tube tops (tank tops are permitted)
Underwear should not be visable (guys or girls)
Please refrain from wearing skin-tight clothing and low-cut tops.
